About the program
Art Wonderers invites children to discover and take ownership of Berlin through art, curiosity, and creative exploration. In small groups, we wonder and wander through the city. We visit galleries, museums, exhibitions, street art, and other inspiring spaces.
Â
Each encounter encourages children to observe, collect, draw, and create in response to their surroundings, developing their own artistic voice along the way. Through art-making and context understanding, children are invited to build meaningful connections with the city and experience Berlin as a place to explore, imagine, and make their own.

The program is led by Bianca Z. Sadcovitz, a cultural practitioner with over a decade of experience working with artists, galleries, and art institutions. With a background in curating, creative management, and education, she has expanded her creative practice through years of independent research into art ecosystems across continents.Â
Â
Her work explores the intersections of art, urban environments, community dynamics, and the ways cultural narratives are produced, mediated, and experienced in public space. Since beginning to work with children in 2020, she has investigated how they, particularly those from multicultural backgrounds, develop a sense of belonging in their city through artistic engagement.Â
Â
This led to the creation of Art Wonderers, an art-based urban exploration program for children in Berlin. The program opens pathways for children to navigate the city through art while developing their own artistic identity. Through this work, she examines how creative encounters with the city can support the formation of personal identity, agency, and self-perception in childhood.
